Sharing your stories with us:

Monarch Butterfly knows very well how patient or service user experience is of upmost importance when trying to make sense of human experience, no academic resource will provide that understanding. Our ‘What People Are Saying’ section will showcase real case samples of what is going on in peoples lives. Whether you are diagnosed and surviving BPD or you are the partner, friend, colleague or a healthcare professional you may have an experience you want to showcase, here is your opportunity. Please be advised to consider your well being when opting to share your stories, sometimes sharing of more difficult experiences can be triggering, causing you to become distressed. We do not want our sharers to feel upset or spiral into difficulty, please ensure that if you are sharing you are in ‘a good place’ or strong enough to uproot what may be upsetting feelings. Before sharing we ask that you consider the information, guidelines and restrictions below.

If you are contacting us to share your experiences, you agree you will not:

  • Share material or information that infringes on the rights of any third party, including intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights
  • Share material that is unlawful, obscene, defamatory, threatening, harassing, abusive, slanderous, hateful or embarrassing to any other person or entity as determined by Monarch Butterfly in its sole discretion

 Monarch Butterfly reserves the right (but is not obligated) to do any or all of the following:

  • Decide to not share patient experiences/’stories’ that fail to conform with these terms of use
  • Edit or delete any communications shared with Monarch Butterfly, regardless of whether such communications violate these standards.

Information we may collect from you

  • We deliberately aim to keep what we know about you to a minimum. Monarch Butterfly prefer not to know your full name, your date of birth or your full address. That way, you can feel free to tell us your story honestly
  • In the event that information shared is of a nature that is too personal, we will omit what we believe to be of an unhelpful nature to either you or the recipient or others included within your story
  • If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence. We may also ask you would like to participate in the completion of surveys that we use for research purposes, although you do not have to respond to them.
